LimaThomas E. Behymer, 73, died at 11:57 p.m. Sept. 16, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center.He was born Dec. 6, 1937, in New Richmond to Christopher and Mary Ellen Jones Behymer, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 22, 1959, he married Wilma Jean Wilson Behymer, who survives in Lima.Mr. Behymer was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He enjoyed bowling and watching baseball and football. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He retired from the Auburn Foundry, Auburn, Ind. He was an Army veteran.Survivors also include a brother, Lew (Helen) Behymer, of South Carolina; two sisters, Laura (Ron) Erdman, of New Richmond, and Marsha (Karl) Bottenburg, of California; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.He was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Swartz, Peggy Lee Carr and Lee Ann Behymer.Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, Lafayette. Pastor Ken Waldroup will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette Cemetery.
