LIMA — The Chest Pain Center at St. Rita’s Medical Center recently donated an Automated External Defibrillator to Marimor Industries Inc. The donation was a joint effort of Mary Marker, administrator of the Heart and Vascular Center, and Jennifer Pierce, paramedic supervisor with Lima-Allen County Paramedics.
An AED is a portable device that checks heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm if needed. Marimor Industries. Inc. is a non-profit that provides training and employment to people with developmental disabilities in Allen County.
