ADA — Eight Ohio Northern players were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in football for 2014 in voting conducted by the league’s head coaches.
Senior Steven Kenny, juniors Darnell Bloom, Justin Magazine, Devon Price and Rody Seballos and sophomore Kyle Bergman were all named Second Team All-OAC.
Seniors Patrick Angle and Dillon Kwiat were named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
COLUMBUS GROVE — Tickets for Saturday’s 7 p.m. Division VII state semifinal football game between Columbus Grove and Marion Local at Spartan Stadium will be on sale from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. today and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Columbus Grove High School.
Tickets to Coldwater’s 7 p.m. Saturday Division V state football semifinal against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in Piqua will be sold Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Westown Shell Station and from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the high school office.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate.

Due to the football playoffs, the Kenton JV and varsity boys basketball games at Coldwater have been moved from Dec. 12. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The McDonald’s Holiday Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at Bluffton High School. The doors for the girls basketball event will open at 5:15 p.m. Tickets will be $5 at the door. There will be no presale.
At 6 p.m. Friday, Arlington will play Allen East with Bluffton and Cory Rawson to follow.
The consolation game is scheduled for 6 pm. Saturday with the championship game to follow.
On Saturday, Bluffton will have its “Blaze of Lights” celebration beginning at 4 p.m. and finishing shortly after 7 p.m., resulting in Main Street being closed. Tourney attendees should plan to avoid Main Street and expect possible limited parking availability.

The Troy Christian at New Bremen boys basketball game Dec. 6 will have a 4 p.m. junior varsity start to be followed by the varsity game at approximately 5:30 p.m.
games pushed back
The Arlington at Fort Jennings JV and varsity boys basketball games scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5, have been postponed until Monday, Feb. 23, due to Arlington’s deep playoff run. The JV game is slated to start at 6 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.
With the football team advancing to the state semifinals, several Marion Local JV and varsity boys basketball games have be postponed.
The Flyers will play at home against St. Marys on Dec. 27, Wapakoneta on Jan. 2, Covington on Jan. 3 and on the road against Shawnee on Jan. 31 and Celina on Feb. 16. The junior varsity games on all those are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with the varsity encounters to follow.
