Police calls as of 12:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, from the Lima Police Department and Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Vine Street and Prospect Avenue, Lima – An officer arrested a 49-year-old man Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. An officer found drug paraphernalia in the car.

Fourth Street and McClain Road, Lima – An officer responding to a crash Sunday found one of the people involved was intoxicated. The man was arrested.

Metcalf and Market streets, Lima – An officer arrested a 27-year-old man Sunday for possessing marijuana. The officer pulled over the person for a traffic violation.

890 S. Cable Road, Lima – An employee of Chief’s Supermarket reported Saturday a shoplifting incident.

500 block of South West Street, Lima – A man called police Saturday about a cat locked in a vacant house. Officers freed the cat and a neighbor took the cat to give it food and water.

700 block of North Cable Road, Lima – An officer arrested a 22-year-old man Saturday for possession of marijuana. The officer stopped the man for a traffic violation

500 block of West Kibby Street, Lima – Police took a report from a 24-year-old woman July 25 who was the victim of an assault.

500 block of East Murphy Street, Lima – Police responded July 24 to a domestic violence situation where a man allegedly assaulted a woman.

1000 block of East North Street, Lima – A deputy took a woman into custody Tuesday for being intoxicated.
