Allen East wins on late touchdown

HARROD — A 9-yard touchdown pass from Tanner Stippich to Caleb Smelcer with 35 seconds remaining gave Allen East a 39-35 Northwest Conference victory over Bluffton on Friday night. Smelcer also had two more touchdowns on the ground, gaining 96 yards on seven carries. Teammate Logan Schick had 158 yards rushing on 34 attempts and scored a TD.

Mitchell Ault was 15 of 24 passing for 244 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing TD. The Mustangs are now 2-4 overall and 1-4 in the league while the Pirates are 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

St. Marys 21, Celina 13

ST. MARYS — Isaac Fitzgerald ran for 151 yards on 30 carries and scored two touchdowns for the host Roughriders (3-3 overall, 2-3 in Western Buckeye League). Caleb Hoyng had a touchdown pass and run for Celina (3-3, 2-3 in WBL).

Ada 61, Paulding 14

PAULDING — Seth Conley completed 33 of 50 passes for 375 yards and five touchdowns for the visiting Bulldogs (3-3 overall, 2-2 in NWC). Teammate Blake Ansely had 63 yards rushing, two touchdowns on the ground and another on a reception. The Bulldogs’ Grant McBride had 94 receiving yards and a TD. Paulding fell to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the NWC.

Marion Local 41, Anna 13

MARIA STEIN — Jacy Goettemoeller ran for 118 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns.

Coldwater 41, Parkway 0

COLDWATER — Brody Hoying three a pair of touchdowns passes and ran for two more TDs for the 6-0 Cavaliers who improved to 4-0 in the Midwest Athletic Conference. Parkway is 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the league.

Fort Recovery 43, New Bremen 7

FORT RECOVERY — Cole Hull rushed for 218 yards on 31 carries and scored four touchdowns for the host Indians (6-1, 3-1 in MAC). Trey Naylor had 80 yards rushing on 18 carries and a touchdown for New Bremen (0-6, 0-4 in MAC).

Indian Lake 38, St. Paris Graham 0

LEWISTOWN — Cole Merritt ran for 121 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns. Teammate Alex Jacobs had 111 yards rushing on 10 carries also for Indian Lakes (2-4).

Hardin-Northern 41, Open Door Christian 36

ELYRIA — Preston Ribley rushed for 232 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Polar Bears (3-3). Teammate Will Poling had a pair of TD runs.

Wapakoneta 38, Defiance 0

WAPAKONETA — The host Redskins moved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Western Buckeye League. Kodi Morgan completed 10 of 14 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. Keaton Metz caught two of TD throws and had a touchdown run.

Defiance is now 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the WBL.

Crestview 27, Delphos Jefferson 14

CONVOY — Crestview moved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC. Preston Zaleski rushed for 154 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Knights. The Wildcats’ Adam Rode had a pair of touchdown runs. Delphos Jefferson is now 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the NWC.

Bath 15, Van Wert 14

BATH TOWNSHIP — Cam Jenkins had a touchdown run and TD pass for the Wildcats. Jenkins had 70 rushing on 14 carries. Colin Smith had 129 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Cougars.

Kenton 28, Ottawa-Glandorf 3

OTTAWA — Kollin Stollar had a touchdown run and also scored on a 22-yard fumble return. Teammate Trent Hites had a TD run and threw a touchdown pass to Colyn Blackford. Hites finished with 246 passing and ran for 65 yards.

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Zach Kuhlman had 11 receptions for 115 yards.

The Titans (5-1, 4-1 in WBL) will next play at Wapakoneta on Friday and Kenton (4-2, 4-1 in WBL) plays host to Elida. Both are WBL clashes.

Swanton 30, Columbus Grove 17

SWANTON — Columbus Grove fell to 3-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs are back in NWC action Friday when they travel to Delphos Jefferson.

Minster 34, Delphos St. John’s 0

DELPHOS — The visiting Wildcats improved to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Midwest Athletic Conference. Delphos St. John’s is 3-4 overall and 1-4 in the MAC.

Perry 38, Waynesfield-Goshen 12

WAYNESFIELD — Perry got a Northwest Central Conference victory.
