Letter — Putnam County: Our kids need us

First Posted: 5/8/2014

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Putnam is hosting our 3rd annual Golf for Kids’ Sake-4 person scramble on Sunday, June 29th at 1 p.m. (Pike Run). Every penny we raise will stay in Putnam County helping Putnam County kids! This mentoring is completed through adult one-on-one matching and through our school-based programs that involves area high school students.

We need you to have a golf team, be a sponsor, or even volunteer. We have a Battle of the Businesses event that is sponsored by The Well in Glandorf, Hole-in-One opportunities by UIS/FLR Insurance, and drawings for 20 wings a month for a year to The Buckeye Club or a pizza a month for a year from The Bombshelter and The Car-E-It.

A team of four players gets their golf, 2-carts, range balls, goody bag, 2 drink tickets, and 2 meals for $55 per person. Yes two meals lunch sponsored by Arbys and supper sponsored by The Schnipke Inn.

Please help us make this our best Golf For Kids’ Sake yet and join us Sunday June 29, 2014 at Pike Run. For more information about our programs that help kids in Putnam County, please call Melissa Weaver at 419-523-4016 or visit our Web site, www.bbbswco.com for event information.
