LIMA — Local individuals who are able to provide a loving and stable environment for children are encouraged to attend and complete 12 free preservice training courses for foster care/adoption.

Beginning Oct. 2, the training is required for anyone who is interested in becoming a foster/adoptive parent. Families are not paid for caring for foster children, however, a monthly boarding payment is provided by the agency for food, clothing, and incidentals.

The classes will be held at Allen County Children Services at 123 W. Spring St. For information or to register, call 419-227-8590.
