LIMA — A robbery on Sunday evening could be connected to a string of robberies in the Lima area, Major Chip Protsman of the Lima Police Department said.
Two males entered Fat Jack’s Pizza, 2340 Spencerville Road, around 9 p.m. Sunday, demanding money from the clerk, Protsman said. One male was taller than the other, but no other physical characteristics were given, he said.
One male ran behind the counter demanding money from the clerk and stole an undisclosed amount of money, Protsman said. The two men then fled the scene on foot.
Three other robberies have occurred in the past two months, Protsman said. The robbers displayed similar characteristics of robbery and demeanor during each robbery, Protsman said.
The other similar, recent robberies in Lima include Family Video, 924 E. Elm St.; Jerry’s Party Shop and Deli, 1432 Allentown Road; and Rich Smoke Shop, 1317 E. Kibby St.
Protsman said the suspects were unarmed in the robberies.
As of Wednesday, there were no suspects. If anyone has information, call 419-227-4444 and ask for Det. Kent Miller, who is handling the cases.
