NRAC seeks grant requests

LIMA — The District 13 Natural Resource Assistance Council is accepting applications for Round 9 of Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Funding.

The organization will be giving about $1.8 million to local communities and nonprofit organizations so they can create outdoor recreational activities, preserve natural areas and protect streams. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 6.

Those interested can request an application from the Ohio Public Works Commission, download an application from http://pwc.state.oh.us or get one from a county NRAC representative. Twelve copies of each application should be submitted to Chairman Howard Elstro, 50 Town Square in Lima.

District 13 is Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Logan, Mercer, Putnam, Shelby and Van Wert counties. The Ohio Public Works Commission is located at 65 E. State St. in Columbus.
