Police calls as of 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1 from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Lima Police Department:

1100 block of Catalpa Street, Lima — A 55-year-old woman reported someone used her food stamps card to purchase items at two local stores between Dec. 11 and Tuesday.

2000 block of Allentown Road, Lima — A 50-year-old loss prevention officer at Wal-Mart apprehended a 23-year-old Lima man with a audio-video doorbell in his coat at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday. The loss prevention officer stopped the man after he got into a car driven by a 67-year-old woman.
