I am outraged by the increase of the cost of water to Elida.
We routinely receive a notice that our water does not meet Environmental Protection Agency standards. This has gone on for years.
I was told by Mike Caprella (Lima utilities deputy director) that the problem is in Elida. Then I was told by Mike Sueve (Elida water superintendent) that the problem was in Lima. Somebody is passing the buck.
Maybe they could use the money it cost to send out thee notices to fix the problem.
I was assured a year ago that Lima was going to install something to fix it. Needless to say that did not happen.
Now they want us to pay more for inferior water. What is prolonged use?
Everyone in Elida should attend the City Council meeting at 7:30 pm Tuesday in the town hall.
Besides all this, you are charged not by the exact usage but within a pay range. How fair is this?
