ELIDA — Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stephens, of Elida, will celebrate 65 years of marriage July 3, 2014. An open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m., July 6th, 2014, at 7755 Sandy Point Road, Elida. The couple request that gifts be omitted. A private family celebration is planned for July 4th.
Stephens and the former Fay Clevenger were married July 3, 1949, in Cairo, by the Rev. Wilbur Stivers.
They are the parents of one son, Keith (Susie) Stephens; and two daughters, Connie (David) Adam and Barbara (Michael) Sprague. One son, Stanley Stephens, is deceased. They have 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Stephens retired from Ford Motor Company and is a retired farmer. His wife retired from Child Evangelism Fellowship.
