ONU women run OAC tennis regular season win streak to 29

LIMA — The Ohio Northern women’s tennis team won its 29th consecutive OAC regular season match by a 5-4 score over Mount Union on Saturday afternoon at Westwood Tennis and Fitness Club.

The Polar Bears improved to 9-2 on the season and 2-0 in OAC play, while the Purple Raiders suffered their first loss and fell to 6-1 (0-1 in OAC).

ALLIANCE — The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team topped Mount Union by a 7-2 score on Saturday afternoon at Peterson Fieldhouse.

The Polar Bears have now won four in a row and pushed their record to 7-2 on the season and 2-0 in OAC play, while the Purple Raiders fell to 7-1 (0-1 in OAC).

Bluffton falls

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — The Bluffton University baseball team was unable to find its rhythm offensively as host Manchester University opened the three-game Heartland Conference series with a 6-1 victory Saturday. Bluffton slipped to 7-9 overall and 0-4 in the HCAC, while Manchester improved to 8-9 and 2-2 in the conference.

Bluffton freshman Luke Hickey went 3-for-4.
