LIMA — The Milano Cafe on Elida Road is giving area music fans the opportunity to catch some great local music talent this weekend at its June Jam Fest, starting at 6:30 p.m. today.

“It’s probably one of our biggest music events,” restaurant owner Frank Guagenti said. “It’s been very popular.”

This two-day outdoor concert will include an outside bar and a food tent featuring freshly grilled items. Today’s lineup features That Lousy Band at 6:30 p.m. followed up by Brother Believe Me at 10 p.m. Saturday’s crowd will see Them Kids with Momma Spaz and Will Freed at 6:30 p.m. with Ransom Band, a Columbus-based band, wrapping up the night at 10 p.m.

All the proceeds will be used for a good cause, according to Guagenti.

“This will benefit the Lima Central Catholic Athletic and Band Boosters,” he said.

For those who may not want to be outside for the whole concert, there will be plenty of entertainment for them in the restaurant, as well, with Gilbert DJ Karaoke starting at 9 p.m. both nights.

“We just wanted to make it so people could come in and out and still have a lot of fun,” Guagenti said.

The cover charge for the concert is $5 each night.
