LARRY G. RAINSBURG, 66, died at 5:50 a.m. July 25, 2005, at his residence.
He was born May 24, 1939, in Hardin County to Kenneth C. and Doris Derringer Rainsburg, who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1959, in Ridgeway, he married Mary Lou McMahon, who survives.
Mr. Rainsburg retired as a lineman for United Rural Electric, after 34 years. He was also an auctioneer and blacksmith. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, the American Single Shot Rifle Association, the Hardin County Draft Horse Club, the Scioto Saddle Club, the Hardin County Sheriff's Mounted Posse, the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Registered Haflinger Association. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, the National Wild Turkey Federation, The Hepburn Coon Hunters Club, the Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association, the Ohio Auctioneer Association and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 157, Kenton.
Survivors also include two sons, Gene W. (Brenda) Rainsburg of Kenton and Jeffrey T. (Sharon) Rainsburg of Forest; two sisters, Dawn Fowler and Patsy Harold, both of Kenton; and five grandchildren, Danielle, Roxie, Bryce, Blake and Bailey.
Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schindewolf-Stevens-Stout Funeral Home, Kenton.
