Donald W. Cunningham, 70, died Feb. 14, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born March 31, 1937, to Jesse Holmes and Evelyn Clodene Hopper Cunningham, who preceded him in death. On March 23, 1958, he married Carol Bohn, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Cunningham worked for Lima Telephone and Telegraph Co. and had been an auto mechanic instructor at Apollo Career Center, where he was active in the VICA Program. He was a member of Trinity Untied Methodist Church, Delphos, where he was a lay speaker and had been a lay speaker, deacon and Sunday school teacher at Assembly of God Church. He attended Central Senior High, Cape Girardeau, Mo., Southeast Missouri University, The Ohio State University and the University of Toledo. He enjoyed working on stain glass, collecting knives, fishing and bows and arrows, but his main interest was his family, whom he dearly loved.
Survivors also include two daughters, Julane (Greg) Williams, of Van Wert, and Vanessa (Garry) From, of Findlay; two brothers, Joseph David (Nancy) Cunningham, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Ronald Gary (Linda) Cunningham, of McClure, Ill.; four grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Marquiss, Adam Fuerst, Ian From and Amber From; and two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Rylynn Marquiss.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Untied Methodist Church, Delphos. Pastors Dave Howell and John Medaugh will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos.
