Louise A. Llewellyn, 84, died at 7 a.m. Dec. 6, 2007, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Continental to Fred and Elizabeth Ellerbrock Verhoff Sr., who preceded her in death. On Sept. 28, 1946, she married Albert "Abbie" Llewellyn, who died Dec. 8, 2007.
Mrs. Llewellyn retired as a nurse's aide from Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, and its Altar Rosary Society. She had been a 60-year member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Cuba, Ohio, and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a member of American Legion Post 541 Auxiliary, Continental. She loved working in the yard and flower beds and embroidering.
Survivors also include two sons, David (Sue) Llewellyn, of Lima, and Gerald (Linda) Llewellyn, of Glandorf; two daughters, Nancy (Paul) Deckman, of Tuckerton, N.J., and Marcia Reed, of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Michael (Kelli) Deckman, Chris (Amy) Deckman, Kimberly Reed, Eric Reed, Jared Llewellyn, Dylan Llewellyn and Bret Llewellyn; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey Deckman and Jordan Deckman; two brothers, Fred (Alvera) Verhoff and Norbert (Juanita) Verhoff, both of Continental; and a sister, Loretta Siebeneck, of Lakeview.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus and Amos Verhoff; and two sisters, Eleanor Siebeneck and Lucille Kleman.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Llewellyn and her husband will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida. The Rev. Ken Alt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Cuba, Ohio.
