LIMA

Ralph O. Joseph, 70, died at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 16, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

He was born June 12, 1937, in Muncie, Ind., to Glen Joseph and Wilda Longbrake Joseph Lorenc, who preceded him in death. On June 5, 1960, he married Sandra K. "Sandy" Cunningham, who survives in Lima.

Mr. Joseph retired from the Lima Mall after 20 years. He had also retired from the Army, after 20 years, serving as a sergeant first class in the Vietnam War, Germany and Korea. He loved his children, grandchildren, Michigan Wolverines football and basketball and the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings.

Survivors include a son, Daniel "Danny" Joseph, of North Port, Fla.; a daughter, Julia "Julie" (Mark) Post, of Pataskala; four grandchildren, Briana Joseph, Keaten Joseph, Jacob Post and Allison Post; and four siblings, Jerry (Gladys) Joseph, of Zanesville, Dr. Glen W. (Mae) Joseph, of Sanford, Mich., Janice Shepherd, of Lima, and Judy (Gary) Gilroy, of Wapakoneta.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Dr. Glen W. Joseph will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
