Anna L. Geckle, 67, died at 10:14 a.m. Oct. 21, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Bowling Fort, Ky., to the Henry and Sally (Grisby) Younce, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 12, 1958, she married Harold Geckle, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Geckle was a waitress at Dick's & Black Angus, Kalida, and the former L&M Restaurant of Ottawa.
Survivors include four sons, Bill (Melinda) Geckle, of Paulding, Joseph Geckle, of Leipsic, Daniel Geckle, of Ottawa, and Samuel Geckle, of Convoy; two daughters, Joan (Scott) Jornigan, of Ottawa, and Tricia (Thomas) Gillette, of Ottawa; three brothers, Albert Younce, of Kentucky, Roland Younce, of North Carolina, and David Younce, of Florida; four sisters, Lilly Smith, of California, Faye Lovette, of North Carolina, Connie Doyon, of Michigan, and Agnes Vioars, of Kentucky; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and McAuthor Younce; and two sisters Sarah Redding and Beatrice Thacker.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Love Funeral Home in Ottawa. The Rev. Dennis Coates will officiate. Burial will be at Sugar Ridge Cemetery in Leipsic.
Friends may call from from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
