STEPHANIE ANNE ROBERSON, 29, died in the early morning of July 8, 2006, from injuries suffered in an auto accident on state Route 81.

She was born May 25, 1977, in Greensboro, N.C., to Stephen C. Roberson and Dyan Mixon. Her father survives in Hazlehurst, Ga., and her mother in Jacksonville, Fla. She had been married to Bryan McKinley, who survives.

Miss Roberson was a student at Ohio Northern University School of Law, Ada, and worked part-time at Wally's Gas Station. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Ga. She was involved in Encore Theater and was a member of CASA Court, where she was appointed a special advocate guardian ad litem. She was a member of several honor societies and sororities including Zeta Tau Alpha; Psi Chi, a psychology national honor society; and Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society. She attended Jeff Davis Elementary School and graduated from Hilton Head Island High School in South Carolina. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology and justice from Georgia Southern University, where she graduated with honors.

Survivors also include maternal grandmother, Kathryn Pross of Alma, Ga.; paternal grandmother, Frances Roberson of Greensboro, N.C.; a great-uncle, Jack Smith of Alma, Ga.; four uncles, Mark Roberson of Charlotte, N.C., Joe Roberson of Baltimore, Eddie Roberson of Reidsville, N.C., and Mike Roberson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; an aunt, Laura Mixon of Pennsylvania; cousins, Tommy Smith and Sherri Dyal, both of Alma, Ga., Melissa Roberson and Hanna Roberson, both of Reidsville, N.C., Maria Thompson and Abbey Thompson, both of Eden, N.C., Kaleigh Roberson and Tucker Roberson, both of Charlotte, N.C., Michelle Roberson and Cameron Roberson, both of Reidsville, N.C., Benjamin Roberson, Jacob Roberson and John Roberson, all of Baltimore; several other cousins, nieces and nephews; special friend, Bryan McKinney of Lima; and close friends Sheriff Daniel W. Beck, Bev and Tim Rader and Kari Long, all of Lima, and Katy and Jason Bohman of Hiram, Ga.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Bethel Ray Roberson; and her favorite aunt, Nellie Roberts.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Hazlehurst City Cemetery, Hazlehurst, Ga.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
