I read with a great deal of interest about the vote on the best park in the Lima area in the Sunday, July 26 issue of The Lima News. It was Faurot Park, and a picture of the water fountain was shown.
This pool was dedicated in 1926 and had water spouting out of mouths of the fish, making a much deeper depth of water in the top section.
I was privileged to be one of the many children who got to use the pool during the Great Depression time. So I am so pleased to see it has been updated and restored at this time.
My thanks to all the donors who have made this possible.
