FRANKLIN H. "FRANK" KUCK, 86, died at 5:58 p.m. April 5, 2006, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 22, 1919, in New Knoxville to Harry and Selma Kattmann Kuck, who preceded him in death. On July 8, 1946, he married Pauline M. Hensley, who survives in Cridersville.

Mr. Kuck retired as an insulator painter from Sohio BP, after 36 years. He was a life member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church, Lima. He was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Lima, the Quarter Century Club at BP and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691, Wapakoneta. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 41st Division AD, for more than four years, in the Southern Philippines, Papuan and New Guinea. He loved his family so much. He enjoyed all of the arts and gardening.

Survivors also include two daughters, Darla (Bill) Michael of Cincinnati and Jennifer (Michael) Stanz of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Melissa Apanius, Allison Phelps and Lauren Stanz; and two great-granddaughters, Caroline and Madden.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Kuck; and a brother, Byron Kuck, who had lived in New Knoxville.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Ed Rinehart and the Rev. Ron Fruth will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, with military rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
