May M. Bowsher, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Lima, died April 6, 2008, of heart failure.
She was born in 1913 in Lima to Walter S. and Pearl Johnson, who preceded her in death. She married to Rue K. Bowsher, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bowsher had been owner of Lima Employment Services and Lima Secretarial Services, both in Lima, and co-owner of Aces Discount Medical, in Florida. She moved to Fort Myers, Fla., and then to Venice, Fla., where she was an active resident of Village on the Isle.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hamilton, of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, Gilbert Bowsher, of New Bern, N.C.; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Village on the Isle, Venice, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 790 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285.
