VICTOR J. BUCHER, 86, died at 4:15 a.m. June 11, 2006, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1920 in Columbus Grove to Ezra and Elvina Hilty Bucher, who preceded him death. On Feb. 19, 1942, he married B. Lucille Burry, who survives in Bluffton.

Mr. Bucher was a farmer. He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors also include two sons, Richard (Carol) Bucher of Danvers, Ill., and Nolan (Linda) Bucher of Elkhart, Ind.; four daughters, Norma Sommer of Pandora, Nancy (Nick) Carney of Pataskala, Corinne (Dave) Lee of Bluffton and Gloria (Jan) Wiechart of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Vinton (Geraldine) Bucher of Bluffton and John V. (Thelma) Bucher of Findlay; a sister, Vidella (Leon) Schey of Leipsic; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Bucher of Pandora.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Bucher, who was stillborn; a brother, Vernon Bucher; five sisters, Verena Schumacher, Viola Bucher, Velma Conrad, Veldine Bucher and Vera Diller.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. The Rev. John Dey will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Mennonite Church.
