Eleanor K. Groman, 88, died at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 13, 2008, at Birchaven Village, of cancer.
She was born March 30, 1919, in Bellevue to Carl W.F. and Martha P. Gardner Hankammer, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 6, 1941, she married Theodore Robert "Ted" Groman, who survives.
Mrs. Groman was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Findlay. She was a member of the CCL, Gideon's Auxiliary and Hope Circle. She was a volunteer at Judson Palmer Home, where she knitted 264 sweaters for the Guidepost Knit for Kids program. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be missed.
Survivors also include three children, Constance Ann Kolan, Christian Mark (Carol) Groman and Stephen Robert (Dee) Groman, all of Findlay; five grandchildren, David (Regina) Kolan, Anneliese (Angela) Kolan, Katherine (Joshua) Boggs, Andrew (Allison) Groman and John Groman; five great-grandchildren, Garrett, Gray, Owen, Adelei and Stefan; and two sisters, Marian Compton, of Charleston, S.C., and Beth Long, of Bellevue.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Findlay. The Rev. Linda Rahe will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay.
