JOHN PAUL DURR, 62, of Toledo, formerly of Lima, died at 11:21 p.m. Aug. 2, 2006, at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1944, in Jackson, Miss., to John and Annie Bell Stewart Durr. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima.
Mr. Durr had been a laborer at Clark Equipment.
Survivors also include four children, Ross (Keisha) Durr, John (Tasha) Durr, Angie Collins and Diane Collins, all of Lima; the mother of his sons, Julia Sanks of Lima; the mother of his daughters, Sandra Collins; his special friend, Barry Johnson of Toledo; Barry's children, Jerome, James, Brady and Christina Johnson; four grandchildren; and seven siblings, Joseph (Dorthea) Owens of Lima, Jan (Joyce) Durr of Bellefontaine, Colleen (Johnny) Hall, Ora (Elton) Cannon, Janice Durr and Cindy Brownlow, all of Lima, and Tangela (Keeton) Stewart of Florence, Ala.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Reggie Parker; and a sister, Geraldine "Jerrie" Stewart.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Siferd Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel. Cremation will follow the visitation.
