Victor H. Duling, 90, of Ottawa, died at 3:22 a.m. Sept. 1, 2007, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Ottawa, to Frank J. and Rosa Barlage Duling, who preceded him in death. On May 29, 1945, he married Dorothy Gerten and she survives in Glandorf.
He was a lifelong farmer, which he enjoyed, and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and its Holy Name Society, the Ottawa Eagles and the Ottawa Knights of Columbus.
Survivors also include five sons, Norman Duling, Cletus (Karen) Duling, Arthur (Janet) Duling and Ronald (Teresa) Duling, all of Glandorf, and Joseph (Mary) Duling of Kalida; five daughters, Jeanette (Edward) Morman, of Columbus Grove, Leona (Darrell) Honigfort and Mary Ann (Al) Gerding, both of Ottawa, Carolyn (Gary) Westrick and Ruth Ann (David) Ellerbrock, both of Miller City; 37 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Duling; two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Duling; two brothers, Alphonse Duling and Amos Duling; and a sister, Martha Siefker.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a parish and Knights of Columbus rosary service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf. Father Harold Brown will officiate.
Burial is at the church cemetery.
