Ordell W. “Ort” Lambert

Ordell W. "Ort" Lambert, 74, died at 6 a.m. Aug. 1, 2007, at his residence.

He was born June 22, 1933, in Wapakoneta to Wilbur and Clara Herr Lambert, who preceded him death. On June 8, 1957, he married Marlene C. Gerhlich, who survives.

Mr. Lambert retired in 1996, as a route salesman from Holsum Bakery, Lima, after 38 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 and a member of Brands Lake Fishing Club, both in Wapakoneta. He had been a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691, Wapakoneta. He was a 1952 graduate of Blume High School, Wapakoneta. He was an Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, archery, deer hunting and playing cards.

Survivors also include three children, Terry (Leisa) Lambert, of Lima, Rebecca (Todd) Noe, of Wapakoneta, and Thomas Lambert, of Lima; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason and Jack Lambert and Devon and Chad Noe; a stepgranddaughter, Brianne Edwards; and a sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Fiebelkorn, of Wapakoneta.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor Gary Bragg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta, with military rites by VFW Post 8445.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Auglaize County Cancer Association.
