Norma Lavaun Zimmerly

Norma Lavaun Zimmerly, 82, died at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 25, 2009, at her residence.

She was born March 7, 1927, in Orange Township, Hancock County, to Edgar and Mabel Matter Montgomery, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 7, 1952, she married Ronald K. Zimmerly, who survives in Bluffton.

Mrs. Zimmerly was a homemaker and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton, and Farmers Grain in Pandora and Bluffton. She attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening and hand work. She was a 1944 graduate of Mount Cory High School.

Survivors also include a daughter, Diane (Tim) Masel, of Fostoria; two grandchildren, Kerry (Bill) Razor and Dale (Roberto) Masel; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Josh Razor; and a sister, Carol Cheney, of Bluffton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clair, Carl and James Montgomery.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. The Revs. Dick Potter and Charles Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Bluffton.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton.
