Starla Diane Melton Eland Morlock, 49, died at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 30, 2007, at her residence.

She was born April 1, 1958, in Lima to Verlon "Mel" Melton and Elizabeth Hawk Melton Harbert, who preceded her in death. Her life partner, Ira Morlock, survives in Lima.

Mrs. Morlock worked at the Eastgate McDonald's for several years. She loved camping and enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains. She loved life and raising her grandson.

Survivors also include two children, Eric Green and Tanika Green, both of Lima; a grandson, Corbin Green, of Lima; eight siblings, India (Edwina) Melton, of Waynesfield, Verlon "Bud" Melton, of Lima, David Kugler, of Delphos, Belinda Watson, of Porter, Texas, Teresa (Scott) Kibbler, of Dayton, Texas, Daren (D.J.) Melton, of Houston, Texas, Joe (Renee) Harbert, of Muncie, Ind., and Dale (Cindy) Melton, of Killien, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Dean Green; a sister, Peggy Ganey; her stepmother, Margaret Melton; and her stepfather, Joe Harbert.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. The Rev. Sandy Liechty will officiate.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
