LIMA - The Annual Business Integrity Award and Superior Service Award Luncheon hosted by the West Central Ohio Better Business Bureau took place Thursday afternoon at the Knight's of Columbus Hall in Lima.

Tom Stechschulte, of Steck's Painting in Ottawa, received the 2008 Business Integrity Award and Trevor Thompson, of the Lima Auto Mall, was the 2008 recipient of the Superior Service Award.

"We give out these awards with the intent to show that we have people representing the area who are doing the right thing." Said Neil Winget, president and chief executive officer of the West Central Ohio BBB. "We want to highlight that and reward them."

Stechschulte's company earned the award because of its well-run, small-business atmosphere, and Thompson was featured because of his high regard for integrity and customer service, according to Winget.

The keynote speaker of the award luncheon was Dr. Kendall L. Baker, president of Ohio Northern University. Baker was invited to speak about recent happenings on the campus of ONU.

Baker spoke about the developments in the university's programs and facilities, highlighting the newly reinstated nursing program and the hotel being built on campus.

"I was really pleased when I got the invitation to speak here," Baker said, "since it gives me a chance to talk about what I really love, and that's my university."
