Karl Frick, 78, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Lima, died at 5:45 a.m. April 17, 2008, at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando, Fla.
He was born June 28, 1929, in Lima to George and Mary Mowry Frick. On Jan. 8, 1955, he married Barbara J. Morris, who died June 13, 2002.
Mr. Frick was a member of the Bluffton Masonic Lodge 432, and a lifetime member of the American Culinary Federation. He enjoyed motorcycles and was an avid auto racing fan. He was an Air Force veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War.
Survivors include four sons, Rickie (Susan) Frick, of Woodbridge, Va., Bruce (Kym) Frick, of Columbus Grove, Terry Frick, of Pandora, and Bryan (Jane) Frick, of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Beth Frick, of Bluffton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, George Earl Frick, of Sebring, Fla.; and two sisters, Jean A. (Dwight) Nichols, of Bluffton, and Mary Lynn Morscheck, of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Frick.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Beaverdam. Military graveside services will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9648 and American Legion Post 516.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
