4th quarter surge gives Perry girls victory

VANLUE — Perry went on a 17-10 run in the fourth quarter to get a 47-45 girls basketball victory over Vanlue on Tuesday night.

Courtland Fowler had 16 points and Jala Phillips and Kaitlyn Cox scored 12 each for the Commodores.

Ottoville 44,

DELPHOS — Nicole Kramer had 14 points and Annie Lindeman scored 10 for Ottoville. Madilynn Schulte had nine points and Lexie Hays scored seven.

LCC 86, Miller City 64

MILLER CITY — Sydney Santaguida set the Lima Central Catholic career assist record, breaking Julie Beggs’ mark of 320 and Kayla Verhoff tied Meredith Shepherd’s school record set last year with eight 3-pointers.

Verhoff (35), Madison Stolly (26) and Sam Koenig (10) all scored in double digits for the Thunderbirds.

OTTAWA — Kylie White had 14 points and Elissa Ellerbrock and Danielle Schroeder scored eight each for O-G.

Kalida 54, Leipsic 44

LEIPSIC — Kalida clinched at least a share of the Putnam County League title. Jacqueline Gardner had 23 points and Alison Recker scored 11 for Kalida. Brooke Gerdeman had 13 points and Shalynn Morman scored 11 for Leipisic, ranked No. 13 in the latest Division IV poll.

ROCKFORD — Kayle Heckler had 16 points and Sarah Gehron scored 13 for Parkway. Abbie Van Horn 12 and Kiley Valenti had 12 points each and Paige Crawford scored 10 for Waynesfield-Goshen.

CELINA — Tori Lennartz had 18 points and Kendra Siefring scored 10 for Fort Recovery. Heather Heiby led Celina with 18 points.

ELIDA — Elida outscored Bellfontaine 10-9 in overtime to get the victory. Austin Allemeier led Elida with 27 points.

ST. MARYS — Josh Young had 25 points and Nathan Wilker scored 12 for St. Marys. Matthew Trushaw (19), Gabe Goodwin (14) and Jacob Stechschulte (10) all scored in double digits for Minster.

OTTOVILLE — Brandt Landin (16), Ty Roby (14) and Kyle Bendele (10) all scored in double digits for Ottoville.

BLUFFTON — Mitchell Ault had 18 points and Levi Kistler scored 13 for Bluffton.

New Bremen 69, Fort Jennings 48

FORT JENNINGS — Deion Hoehne (12), Carson Manger (11) and Alex Britton (10) all scored in double digits for New Bremen. Austin Kehres had 16 points and Drew Grone scored 13 for Fort Jennings.

game rescheduled

The Columbus Grove at Bath boys JV and varsity basketball games have been scheduled for Feb. 24. The junior varsity game is set to start at 6 p.m.

ADA — The No. 29-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team wrapped up its 2014-15 regular season with a 50-6 victory over Muskingum Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears improve to 15-5 overall and 3-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies fall to 0-10, 0-5.
