PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT(Section 153.65 - .71, Ohio Revised Code) The Board of Board of County Commissioners in conjunction with the Allen County Sanitary Engineering Department will receive Statements of Qualifications from interested design firms for engineering, and/or planning services until 4:00 p.m., local time, on Friday, February 7, 2014. Firms interested in being prequalified for contracts to provide design services for water distribution and sanitary sewer collection/treatment projects should submit a Statement of Qualifications, which should include information regarding the firm’s competence to perform professional design services indicated by the technical training, education, and experience of the firm’s personnel, particularly those persons who would be assigned to perform services for the County. Statements should also include information relative to the firm’s experience in preparing various state and federal grant and loan program applications for funding of these projects; workload and availability of qualified personnel, equipment and facilities to perform the required professional design services competently and expeditiously; and past performance of the firm as reflected by the evaluations of previous clients with respect to such factors as control of costs, quality of work, and meeting of deadlines. Statements shall also address the firm’s ability to submit projects in electronic format and the firm’s familiarity with the County, including previous experience with the County and other public agencies in Allen County, Ohio. Statements of qualifications should be sent to Amy Frueh, Office Assistant, Allen County Sanitary Engineering Department, 3230 North Cole Street, Lima, Ohio, 45801. For design fees in excess of $50,000 the Allen County Sanitary Engineering Department will evaluate and prequalify firms to be notified of projects during calendar year 2014. Firms prequalified and selected based on Statement of Qualifications will be notified by the Allen County Sanitary Engineering Department. The Allen County Sanitary Engineering Department will select a firm and negotiate fees for each specific project through the calendar year 2014. No other notification will be made.
