Patricia A. Miller, 80, of St. Marys and Sebring, Fla., died at 7:53 p.m. Aug. 6, 2010, at the residence of her daughter in St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 24, 1929, in St. Marys to Norman and Hazel Gibson Otto, who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1946, in St. Marys, she was married J. Edward Miller, who died June 18, 1999.
Mrs. Miller attended St. Marys Memorial High School with the Class of 1947. She was a homemaker who worked as a cafeteria cook for Holy Rosary Catholic School. She and her husband owned and operated Miller’s Café in downtown St. Marys from 1951 until 2010. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its altar rosary sodality. Patty enjoyed playing cards, cooking and spending time with her family. She worked hard and played even harder. Making friends came easily to her, and she will be remembered for her pleasant personality and positive outlook on life.
Survivors include three sons, J. Edward (Diana) Miller Jr., of Waynesville, Michael (Paulette) Miller, of St. Marys, and Doug (Jayne) Miller, of Lima; three daughters, Dianne (Robert) Koeper, of St. Marys, Barbara (Dennis) Kohler, of Wapakoneta, and Kay (Ray) Maher, of Sebring, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a cousin Shirley Harold, of St. Marys; and numerous friends and co-workers.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Miller.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys. The Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.
