DELPHOS — The expansion of Lakeview Farms cleared a hurdle last week with the closing of a $8.5 million sale for the property.
Pohlman Property 9 LLC purchased the former Reser’s Fine Foods facility at 1600 Gressel Dr., Delphos, on July 1. The company, owned by local real estate owner and contractor Keith Pohlman, has plans for a 10-year lease to Lakeview Farms.
In late April, Lakeview Farms announced its plans to add 200 new jobs over the next three years, nearly doubling its existing Delphos employment while closing a facility in Bristol, Wisconsin.
The maker of dips, gelatins, cheese spreads, desserts and sour cream will invest more than $12 million in capital and technology improvements. Renovations could be done by the end of the year, with a new production line running by August.
Reser’s Fine Foods closed its doors in September 2013, leaving 100 people without jobs. It was in the location of the former I&K Distributors, which opened in Delphos in 1966.
