NORWALK — Sarah Matter, of Bellevue, was recently promoted to Director, Materials Management at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. As Director, Materials Management, Matter will be reporting directly to Lorna S. Strayer, President and CEO, Interim.

“Over the past year and a half, Sarah has made a name for herself within the supply chain and customer service realm for her leadership and involvement in various projects within the Medical Center,” Strayer said.

Sarah has been an instrumental part of the logistical planning process for equipment and furnishings for the Surgery Construction project, the North Side Building Construction project, and several internal office moves and furniture projects.”

Additionally, Matter has been an integral member of the Lean Healthcare Steering Committee, the Safety Committee, and the MSDS Sub-Committee, in addition to her involvement with the Staples Office Supply project implementation, the ECRI Recall Tracking program, and as an instructor for the “Game On” program. Matter has also played an important role in acquiring significant cost savings for Fisher-Titus through her work with our various GPOs, in particular her efforts to explore product conversions, deletions and changes with various vendors.

Matter earned her master in education from the University of Toledo, her master in humanities from Tiffin University and her bachelor degree in early education from Bowling Green State University. She has been employed at Fisher-Titus since November 2008. She has also served as a supply specialist, supply chain analyst and most recently as assistant director of materials management.
