Bluffton’s Everett receives HCAC honor

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Bluffton University’s Trey Everett has been named 2014 men’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.


The freshman won two field events at the conference championships, the high jump with a mark of 2.03 meters and the long jump with a leap of 6.76 meters. The effort also earned him Freshman of the Year accolades.


Junior teammate Jeff Parker joined Everett on the all-HCAC first team. Bluffton freshman Jacob Moran was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.


Bluffton freshman Terrill Webb was named to the all-HCAC women’s first team. Defiance senior Kim Bingley, an Ottawa-Glandorf graduate, made the second team. Bluffton freshman Kimberly Meyer was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
