ZANESVILLE — Sophomore Brandon Lambert fired a 12-over par 76-76—152 to lead the Ohio Northern men’s golf team to a fifth place finish at the Muskingum Spring Invitational Friday and Saturday at Eagle Sticks Golf Course.


The Polar Bears finished with a 316-314—630 in the 36-hole tournament.


Lambert tied for sixth out of 47 golfers with his 152 on the par 70, 6508-yard course.


Freshman Tyler Davis finished 14th with a 79-79—158, sophomore Rick Deichert and freshman Blaine Ricketts tied for 18th with 160s and junior Ted Loewendick tied for 35th with a 167.


Playing as an individual, senior Pat Helman tied with Deichert and Ricketts for 18th with a 160.


Otterbein won the team title with a 283-304—587 and Kenyon and Muskingum tied for second with 623s.


Otterbein’s David Monaco won Medalist honors with a 1-under par 67-72—139.
