Trial date set for Howard

A judge scheduled the trial for a man with murder in a June death for Feb. 25 during a pretrial Wednesday morning.

Randell Howard Jr., 19, was in Allen County Common Pleas Court, charged with murder in the June 24 slaying of Joshua Davenport.

After granting a time waiver, Judge Jeffrey Reed set the next pretrial hearing set for Dec. 16. The court also learned that Howard will now be represented by Eric Allen, an attorney out of Columbus.
