Whether you/I agree with “Obamacare” or not has nothing to do with my writing this letter.
I would like someone to explain why there is a mental health levy on the ballot this year. Obamacare mandates that everyone have insurance and that insurance companies cover mental health issues. I am confused as to why we should be asked to pay essentially double for mental health care.
While I agree mental health treatment is important, I am being taxed by the federal government for this type of coverage beginning Jan. 1; so why would I agree to pay the tax twice?
I will be voting “no” to double taxation, which means I will be voting against the mental health levy.
