LIMA Raymond R. Clay, 80, of Lakeside-Marblehead, formerly of Lima, died at 8:45 a.m., June 14, 2013, at Firelands Regional Health Center, Sandusky.



He was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Logan, W.Va., to Henry and Josephine Blevins Clay, who preceded him in death. On July 25, 1953, he married Devonah D. Inghram, who survives in Lakeside-Marblehead.



Mr. Clay was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1991 from the Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant after 31 years. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Lakeside-Marblehead to focus on his fishing talents. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.



Survivors also include a daughter, Deborah (Timothy) Mauricio, of Springfield; a son, Garry (Lisa) Clay, of Lima; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry Clay, of McGuffey; and three sisters, Pat Gibbons, of Gomer, Nellie Lamb, of Cairo, and Mary Lindeman, of Lima.



He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Herbert and Darrell Clay; and two sisters, Olga Accord and Charlotte May.



Services will begin at 11 a.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Darrell R. Clay will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.



Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
