John C. Romick, 57, formerly of Ada, passed away Dec. 3, 2012, at 4:11 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
He was born Feb. 10, 1955, in Lima to Merle “Mick” and Jeanette L. “Jan” Elchert Romick, who preceded him in death. On May 9, 1987, he married Tina M. Cole, who survives in Lima.
John worked for Sodexo at Ohio Northern University, Ada, as lead painter. He attended Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his dog, Lilly.
Also surviving are two sons, Robbie (Audrey) Overs, of Kenton, and Jason Overs, of Phoenix; four daughters, Shannon (Jeremy) Kohler, of Wapakoneta, Stephanie (Mike) Wince, of Lima, Tabitha (Heath) Craig, of Rocky River, and Ashley (David) Temich-Chiguil, of Lima; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Michael (Robin) Romick, of Bluffton, Patrick Romick, of Dunkirk, and James (Dawn) Romick, of Lima; and two sisters, Laura Kinnear, of Lima, and Debra (Michael) Agin, of Charleston, S.C.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. Pastor Robert Dye will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
