RIDGEWAY — Officers continued to dig this morning at a rural Hardin County location, uncovering hundreds of pieces of stolen property.
Officers from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and other agencies continued to work at 16363 Township Road 204, Ridgeway, uncovering property with large earth-moving equipment, Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart said. They uncovered buried property, such at all-terrain vehicles, guns and electronic equipment. Some of the recovered items appeared to be stolen as far back as 1997, Everhart said.
Four people are in custody, although they haven't been charged yet. Everhart described them as all being in their 20s. Everhart expected charges filed by Monday.
The rural Ridgewayproperty is owned by Elizabeth A. Sells, according to Hardin County Auditor's Office's website.
Everhart said officers also raided a home in the 300 block of North Main Street in Mount Victory related to the case.
