FINDLAY — A woman concealed an unknown amount of prescription medication and took it into the Hancock County Justice Center, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Kathleen Mathis, 26, of Greenville, Tenn., was the woman attempting to sneak the drugs. She was originally taken into custody for speeding and an OVI charge on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office conducted an investigation into the conveyance of contraband. Investigators found that Mathis had attempted to flush the prescription medication down a toilet.

The medication was recovered. It was determined she was trying to flush 299 pills of 30 milligram tablets of Oxycodone Hydrochloride.

Additional charges against Mathis are still pending, the sheriff’s office reported.
