ST. MARYS — It's a familiar place in a new location.Buffalo Wild Wings opens a new restaurant in St. Marys today. With a layout much like the Buffalo Wild Wings in Lima, the look is familiar. “St. Marys seemed like a good place to go,” Manager Donna Lee said.“We are very excited to be bringing the Buffalo Wild Wings experience to St. Marys and we look forward to being a part of this dynamic community,” said Kathy Benning, senior vice president of marketing and brand development for the company.Located in a shopping center at U.S. 33 and state Route 66 near a Kroger, a Kohls and a small strip mall, the restaurant staff hopes the locals feel at home there. For Lee, it's like coming home. The Elida native started with Buffalo Wild Wings eight years ago in Lima, and most recently worked opening new stores in West Virginia. The only other Buffalo Wild Wings in the area is in Findlay.Lee said the layout resembles Lima's. “There's a few updates,” she said. “We have 52 televisions, and we have our megascreen. It goes above the bar. It's a big curved screen that splits into 8 screens.”The restaurant will employ 95 full- and part-time workers, but Lee said it belongs to the customers.“It's their Buffalo Wild Wings. We want them to come in and have a good time, hang out and watch the game,” she said. “The Super Bowl's going to be awesome in here.”
