LIMA — A longtime leader with the Girl Scouts is in a leadership position at Rhodes State College.
Gov. Ted Strickland appointed Jane Krites to fill an empty seat on Rhodes Board of Trustees. The term is for three years. She replaced Dr. Jack Spratt, whose term expired. Some board seats are governor-appointed while other appointments come from area public schools.
Krites has been executive vice president of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio for two years. She headed the local Girl Scouts of Appleseed Ridge from 1991 to 2007. She’s been with the Girl Scouts in some capacity since 1988, previously working in the nursing department at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Krites’ community involvement includes the United Way of Greater Lima and of Auglaize County, the Rotary Club, Main Street Lima and St. Charles Catholic Church. She’s also served on the Foundation Board and investment/finance committee at Rhodes.
