PERRY TOWNSHIP -- Three adults and a juvenile were arrested early Sunday in what Perry Township Police Chief Tom Staup called a foiled home invasion.

In a statement, Staup said two township police officers and a deputy from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office made the arrests “without incident” at about 3:30 a.m. The home was in the 4000 block of Bowman Road, and Staup said the homeowner was there.

Residents in Perry Township have been concerned about break-ins for several months, though most reported break-ins have been of unoccupied homes. A 2 mill levy to increase the township’s 12 police officers to full-time hours will be on the November ballot.

The identities of the four arrested individuals were not released Sunday, and no further information was available.
