Sheriff reminds residents of scam

FINDLAY -- The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on Friday received a complaint regarding a possible scam. A male caller had identified himself as a sheriff’s official, claiming to be selling law enforcement car stickers to raise money for equipment. No Hancock County official is making such calls, Sheriff Michael Heldman said.Heldman is reminding residents that law enforcement does not solicit funds over the telephone.
