Snow causes minor road problems

LIMA — 7:35 a.m., Jan. 17 — Slick roads are causing problems for some drivers on their way to work this morning.Police agencies around the region are reporting minor accidents due to the overnight snow. Dispatchers in Auglaize, Putnam, and Mercer counties all reported calls of cars sliding off the road, but no major accidents or injuries were reported so far this morning. “We’ve had a couple cars off in the ditch, but nothing else,” a Mercer County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher said.Dispatchers for the region’s Ohio State Highway patrol posts reported no accidents this morning, saying all major roads in the region were clear.Today’s forecast from the National Weather Service calls for light snow throughout the day with an accumulation of less than one inch.
